Troop 674 welcomes you!

We invite you to join us for friendship, fun, and adventure; and to grow in the spirit of Scouting - preparedness, readiness to help others, honesty, self-confidence, and responsibility.

Scouting provides youth with an opportunity to try new things, provide service to others, build self-confidence, and reinforce ethical standards. These opportunities not only help them when they are young but also carry forward into their adult lives, improving their relationships, their work lives, their family lives, and the values by which they live.

About Troop 674

Troop 674 provides scouting activities to young boys in the Santa Cruz, CA area. We are Santa Cruz's Oldest Scout Troop. We are chartered by the Boys and Girls Club. We plan two activities monthly, camping, day trips and service projects. Come and join us in Scouting! Our website has a new easy to remember URL - http://www.troop674.com

Through those activities we strive to teach boys the principles of scouting through respect for the individual and to develop and use their potential to the best of their ability. With more than 130 Merit Badges -- from Archery and Art to Welding and Wilderness Survival -- Scouting is the ultimate form of learning by doing. Boy Scouts explore their interests and improve their skills while working toward Scouting’s highest rank: Eagle. By first imagining, planning then doing their own service projects, Boy Scouts learn the value of hard work, and experience the thrill of seeing it pay off. Add in outdoor adventures, hiking and camping, and Scouting gives boys all the experience they need to become men.

We go on monthly camping adventures where our scouts participate in activities like swimming, climbing walls, archery and wilderness survival. The scouts cook their own meals over camp fires and camp stoves, sing songs and play silly games. They study the natural world and the wildlife that lives in it while respecting the environment and leaving no trace when we go home. All of this we do in the spirit of scouting.

Troop 674 meets on Monday nights at the Downtown Boys and Girls Club at 543 Center Street in Santa Cruz from 7pm to 830 pm

If you have any questions, please reach out to our Scoutmaster Cody Kiff at codygoosehunter@yahoo.com or at (831) 212-1266.
